There aren't as many food options in the deli post-covid, but I've noticed them beginning to make things like sesame balls and spring rolls again! The deli food is conveniently placed at the front so that introverts don't need to interact with people. All of the food is hot and fresh in the morning. All previous whiners that reviewed this are definitely entitled and don't understand that the deli only runs certain hours and it's only run by one grandma and sometimes an auntie.
Everything at this store is pretty organized and the produce is fresh as well. The location is very convenient, so you can always just cross the street to Sun Foods and/or Empire if Vinai doesn't have what you need.

This is all coming from someone that's been shopping here for two decades now and was also employed here.

Lots of deli selection on the hot counter prepackaged after the deli is closed in the afternoon. Love the black sticky rice and they have all the flavors of milkis. Nice cashiers.

Prices is just to expensive. It's literally right behind golden harvests price. Just that golden harvest has a little bit better quality then Vinai. Most and foremost the pepper! The pepper has to go, if your looking for low quality watery pepper then this is the place to go. Pepper is so watery that it makes me lose my appetite. If there is food, your gonna expect some at least average pepper with it, but no it's straight water in the pepper. Might as well throw in a few raw chilli pepper with the food instead of the watery ones. Just saying, no one wants a watery pepper with the food, it just ruins everything about it.

I was obviously a person out of place. Everyone was of asian descent of some sort. People stared at me as I walked around the isles. People were obviously suprised/amazed when they walked around the corner and came upon me.

It wasn't very welcoming to be honest, as someone who isn't Asian. I also had issues where I would go through 4 to 8 packages of peppers before I would find one that didn't have mold.

I am sure it is very welcoming to the right group of people, but as non-asian person I felt very unwelcome.

They had some decent options and the prices were good/decent though.

Please give it a try, they seem like nice people. Maybe I am just reading into it too much. Most of the people I encountered seemed nice enough.
For all I know it is a cultural difference.
No one was mean. I just didn't feel welcome.

Good place to get food stuffs from eastern countries! Lots of boxed food, large freezer section and a small produce section. My only issue with the store is the lack of price tags. Not everything is labeled and bringing up several items to the register can be frustrating. Otherwise the staff were great and the store was quick to swing in and out!

Went there and spend $52, pay with $100, and only receive $27 back. People check your moneys. Don't get rip off.

The store is fine with friendly cashiers. Check out lines are fast since they always have two cashiers. However not everything has a price tag, which can be annoying. Another minus is their deli. I used to order from their deli daily pre-Covid. But now the deli hours are changed daily to different days and times. I just can’t keep up and don’t even bother anymore.

Update: Please put correct dates on food. This nab vam was old and nasty.

Walked into store expecting a deli where you can also get fresh food, nope. The deli only had "pre-made" food. They also had a stand near the front of the store with "pre-made" food. Since I was there, I did buy a few dishes to try but it was disappointing! Will I ever go back for the food? NOPE! Go to Hmong village, the food there is awesome!!
